Striking flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Beautiful in meadow plantings and in the garden, combined with phlox, cranesbill and yarrow. Fragrant leaves make a delicious tea. Divide every 2-3 years to control spread. Disease resistant. Native to the eastern U.S. Tolerates drier, rockier soils than other species.
