About

Rich, soft-textured evergreen works well as a foundation plant or as background. Produces inedible red berries in fall. Lovely with rhododendron, barberry, heather, hosta, and variegated euonymus. Grows slowly. Tolerates hard pruning. Prefers well-drained soil; will tolerate alkaline (sweet) or acid (sour).
